Intensive care for future

The project foresees the cooperation of two county-level hospitals - Satu Mare County Regional Emergency Hospital (SJUSM) as lead partner and Zakarpatska Regional Children’s Hospital (RCH) as project partner - in order to intensify the cooperation and to improve the level of health care services in Zakarpatska and Satu Mare counties. In particular it focuses on improving the infrastructural and human capacity conditions of health-care in intensive therapy units for new-borns and other patients. For this purpose the relevant hospital departments will be equipped with modern medical apparatus: the Paediatric Intensive Care (PIC) unit of RCH, the Anaesthesia and Intensive Therapy Department, the Neonatology Department and the Emergency receiving unit from Tăşnad of SJUSM. Human capacity development of the concerned departments is also targeted. For this purpose there will be organized a double internship system: two physicians and two nurses of the concerned departments will visit and join the work of the partner hospitals corresponding departments in order to get accustomed with the daily work practice therein. It will have two dates and mutuality for both partners. The external vision upon the processes and arrangements has the role to share experiences and practices and to work as feed-back for the visited departments, we call it a soft benchmarking. The filtered findings will be presented at the closing conference. Another important HR component is a jointly organized study tour to the most developed health-care centre of the region. Two physicians will participate from both partner hospitals on a 5 day long study tour to have insight in the clinical professional work. The experiences will be multiplied in the relevant departments of the partner hospitals and presented at the closing conference.
