Build and strengthen cooperation between project partners. Pass experience, train staff, share experience in social, medical and psychosocial aid; hold mutual lectures and workshops. This will lead to improved infrastructure of social care services. Our project expectations include improving the situation on the project Partner’s side, better availability of services for target groups on both partners’ side. Project includes multidisciplinary approach to improving psychosocial and medical rehabilitation, diagnosis, child patient oncopathology treatment in Zakarpattia and the Košice region, through obtaining expertise from Slovak and foreign experts, and purchase of equipment. Project implementation results: improved special abilities; new staff training; creation of regional and cross-border strategy for child oncology care, mainly in the rehabilitation area as to improve quality of life of such patients and their families, and maximise children’s and their families’ after-treatment integration back into everyday life. Inform patients and their parents about disease progress, treatment, convalescence period, good home care, rehabilitation and nutrition. Inform the public about project status, children’s rights and opportunities in order to decrease child oncology patients’ discrimination in society. We want to create a benevolent space for children with oncology. This is the 1st time in Zakarpattia that the implementation of a modern and elaborated project complying to global guidelines of the program for social, medical and psychological rehabilitation of children with cancer in outpatient or hospital treatment is taking place.
