The project goal is to advance the historical awareness and cultural heritage of both countries by reconstruction and restoration of two significant monuments: St. Urban´s Tower in Košice and Greek-Catholic Cathedral in Uzghorod.
These monuments are interesting and catch the eye of everybody passing by, though their historical and religious importance is poorly known.
Advancement, presentation, their higher awareness and development of religious tourism are the side goals achievable by their reconstruction and restoration.
A strong and united cross-border development together with creation of tourism products makes a base for understanding and friendship between historically fellow countries, regions, towns and their habitants, as symbols of friendship and neighbourhood.
The project outcome are reconstructed monuments, which is a key to raise the number of their visitors.
