The project responds to challenges identified at transnational level through the JOP - "risks and damage are common and should be managed jointly" and that "Improvement of flood management is an urging need". Extremely heavy rainfall and subsequent flooding, as well as long periods of drought resulting from global warming, have generally increase the frequency of occurrence of flooding in the two communities. An integrated approach is proposed in the two RO countries - the Moisei Commune and the Seredne Vodiane Commune Administration, of the common issues related to the risks of floods, fires and other emergencies. The project proposes the development of an intervention unit to increase the capacity to manage and respond to interventions in civil emergencies caused by natural or man-made disasters (new intervention or event-eliminating equipment as well as flood prevention); creates a local infrastructure on the Sacaturii Valley to protect against floods (supporting walls, flood protection and road reconstruction). A component of the project provides emergency warning through innovative alarm systems - digital, modern, innovative with multiple communication capabilities and voice alerts. The project will contribute to the prevention of life- threatening and limitation of damages and the effects of floods and fires for approx. 15953 beneficiaries. Direct results will be: 2 municipalities with increased emergency response capability, a mobile unit with increased operational capacity due to additional equipment, 2 upgraded alarm systems equipped with digital sirens. As a direct result, it contributes to increasing the risk management index in the cross-border area. The project contributes to the objectives of the ENI CBC program. The project is a continuation of the successful project previously developed in the same type of partnership - "System of early intervention in emergency situations".
