3 October 2023 - "Underwater" workshop within the "Environment for the Future by Scientific Education" project

Workshop for public “Underwater” took place on September, 29, 2023 within the project "Environment for the Future by Scientific Education" on public place in the area of shopping center OC OPTIMA in Košice.

Participants were informed about the purpose and progress of the EU-funded EFFUSE project.  They were introduced to the activities and objectives of the project with a focus on educational activities in the form of scientific training in the field. Professionally, the event was provided by university teachers from the Institute of Biological and Ecological Sciences, Faculty of Science, Pavol Jozef Safarik University in Košice. The workshop was attended by more than 40 participants, who were informed about the results obtained during previous biomonitoring studies. Participants had the opportunity to try to identify aquatic invertebrates that were found during biomonitoring. They could use the digital identification key, which is available on the virtual laboratory EFFUSE website. The prepared methodological materials focused on science education in the field were very much appreciated by the participants.
