The amount of requested EU funds in the 2nd Call for Proposals of the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine ENI CBC Programme 2014-2020 is four times higher than the available EU allocation of €22 million. A total of almost 500 applicants from eligible area of Hungary, Slovakia, Romania and Ukraine submitted 137 project proposals.
The partnerships of public and non-profit private organisations from the eligible area of Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine ENI CBC Programme 2014-2020 submitted 137 project proposals in the 2nd Call for Proposals. Most of the proposals (60) were submitted in the Priority 3.1 (culture and tourism) where over €36 million is requested for the available €7 million of EU funds.
In the Priority 6.1 (environment and natural resources) 34 proposals were submitted with requested over €20 million for available €3 million; in the Priority 7.1 (transport and mobility) 6 project proposals were submitted with requested €4.7 million for available €3 million; in the Priority 7.2 (ICT and information sharing) 9 proposals were submitted with requested €5.7 million for available €1.5 million; in the Priority 8.1 (disasters and emergencies) 14 proposals were submitted with requested over €11 million for available €2.5 million; and in the Priority 8.2 (health) 14 proposals were submitted with requested over €10 million for available €5 million of EU funds. The total amount of requested EU funds in the 2nd Call for Proposals is over €89 million.
The total number of applicants in the 137 partnership submitting project proposals is almost 500. Most of the applicants (207) come from Ukraine requesting EU funding of over €35 million. The 102 applicants from Hungary requested over €20 million in the 2nd Call for Proposals; the 95 applicants from Slovakia requested over €15 million; and 90 applicants from Romania requested over €18 million of EU funds.
Most of the lead applicants are coming from Hungary (43), 41 are coming from Ukraine, 31 from Romania and 22 from Slovakia.
The registered 137 applications at present are subject to administrative and eligibility checks. The online applications including grant application forms with annexes and supporting documents are checked in terms of meeting all the specified criteria. The eligibility of the applicants and the projects is also verified according to the set criteria. In case of uncertainties or unclear information provided in the applications, the lead applicants will be asked to submit clarifications after receipt of notifications via the IMIS 2014-2020 system-generated e-mail.
