The amount of requested EU funds in the 3rd Call for Proposals of the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine ENI CBC Programme 2014-2020 is 4.7 times higher than the available EU allocation of €17.3 million. A total of 369 applicants from Hungary, Slovakia, Romania and Ukraine submitted 119 project proposals with the total requested amount of EUR 80.67 million.

The project partnerships of public and non-profit private organisations from the eligible area of Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine ENI CBC Programme 2014-2020 submitted 119 project proposals in the 3rd Call for Proposals. Most of the proposals (57) were submitted in the Priority 3.1 (culture and tourism) where €33.29 million is requested for the available €3.45 million of EU funds.

In the Priority 6.1 (environment and natural resources) 25 proposals were submitted with requested over €16.8 million for available €2.5 million; in the Priority 7.1 (transport and mobility) 4 project proposals were submitted with requested €4.18 million for available €4.25 million; in the Priority 8.1 (disasters and emergencies) 14 proposals were submitted with requested over €11.22 million for available €3 million; and in the Priority 8.2 (health) 19 proposals were submitted with requested €15.18 million for available €4.1 million of EU funds. The total amount of requested EU funds in the 3rd Call for Proposals is €80.67 million.

The total number of applicants in the 119 partnerships submitting project proposals is 369. Most of the applicants (158) come from Ukraine requesting EU funding of over €30 million. The 74 applicants from Hungary requested over €18 million in the 3rd Call for Proposals; the 67 applicants from Slovakia requested €15.68 million; and 70 applicants from Romania requested €16.92 million of EU funds.

The registered 119 applications at present are subject to administrative and eligibility checks. The online applications including grant application forms with annexes and supporting documents are checked in terms of meeting all the specified criteria. The eligibility of the applicants and the projects is also verified according to the set criteria. In case of uncertainties or unclear information provided in the applications, the lead applicants will be asked to submit clarifications after receipt of notifications via the IMIS 2014-2020 system-generated e-mail.
