18 May 2021 - COOLMUSEUMS mobile application has been launched

This year, International Museum Day, 18th of May, had a powerful slogan: “The future of museums: Recover and Reimagine”. On this occasion, in the framework of "Culture Connect - Cultural Mobility in the Border Area" project, Satu Mare County Museum together with The Museum of Ukrainian Culture in Svidnik (Slovakia) and Transcarpathian museum of folk architecture and life of the Transcarpathian regional Council (Uzhgorod, Ukraine) successfully launched a mobile application – COOLMUSEUMS.

This application is the result of diligent team work and also a modern and powerful tool in promoting cultural tourism on local, regional and international levels. It is true that museums have to recover after a long period of stagnation but most importantly, they need to reconnect with their permanent partners - visitors. It is only natural to start this recover and reconnection with a new cultural product that allows people to meet cultural offers.

COOLNET project offers rehabilitation of museum storages, restoration of iconostasis, phone apps and museums network platform development, all in order to increase the number of the museum's cultural offers. The launch of COOLMUSEUMS app is the first step. Project partners are ready for more cultural products! Meanwhile, the app is available and free to download on the website.
