Satu Mare, Prešov and Zakarpattia are cross-border areas with a great rural touristic potential. The villages, as touristic destinations, help in improving the chances of cultural heritage preservation and promotion.
The rural traditions are well represented in museum collections, too. The survival of these collections depend on many factors: modern storage facilities, professionals well trained, a sustainable plan in the restoration cultural objects. The project propose the rehabilitation of museum storages, the restoration of an iconostasis, a phone apps and a museums network platform development, all in order to increase the number of the museum's cultural offers. These cultural offers have to be available and accessible for a healthy increasing of the numbers of museum's visitors.
A good promotion and a good communication plan of museum offers, of the information gathered during field research will give the possible visitors, interested in rural tourism, the opportunity to take into account the villages as a touristic destination.
