6 July 2021 - Cross-Border Tent Camp has been successfully organised in the framework of CARPATHIAN FOREST SCHOOLs project

Cross-Border Tent Camp took place in between June 30 - July 3, 2021 on the territory of Maramures Mountain Natural Park in the framework of the project "Carpathian Forest Schools - Pilot Cooperation for Nature Conservation and Environmental Education".

The participants of the camp were students from Ukraine and Romania who are currently studying natural sciences at universities. During 4 intensive theoretical and experimental days, they got acquainted with the practices of extracurricular education and their impact on environmental awareness and general support for environmental activities. The camp has become an excellent platform for networking future professionals from both regions.

The camp was organized within the project "Carpathian Forest Schools - Pilot Cooperation for Nature Conservation and Environmental Education", implemented under the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020 Cross-Border Cooperation Program. The purpose of the project is to promote the preservation of the Carpathian forests through the modernization of environmental education. EU contribution - 605,100.15 €.
