Following the closure of the 1st Call for Proposals on 15 November 2017 the Joint Technical Secretariat has held the opening session and registration of submitted applications. As result 9 grant applications have been submitted in the 1st Call for Proposals opened for Large Infrastructure Projects (LIPs).
The 1st open Call for Proposals of the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine ENI Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020 has been launched on 15 February 2017 with indicative allocation of €22 million, available for four different Priorities of the Programme. The Call for Proposals has been opened specifically for LIPs where the budget share of at least €2.5 million is allocated to acquisition of infrastructure.
The registered 9 project proposals have been submitted by a total of 45 applicants from Hungary, Slovakia, Romania and Ukraine. For the allocated €22 million of EU funding in the 1st Call for Proposals, over €38 million have been requested by the applicants. Over €13 million have been requested for the allocated €7 million in the Priority 6.1 (environment and natural resources), less than €4 million requested for the allocated €4 million in the Priority 7.1 (transport and mobility), less than €7 million requested for the allocated €7 million in the Priority 7.2 (ICT and information sharing), and over €14 million have been requested for the allocated €4 million in the Priority 8.1 (disasters and emergencies).
Following the opening session and the administrative and eligibility check the lead applicants will receive official letters indicating whether their applications have been submitted prior to the deadline, informing them of the reference numbers allocated and whether the applications have been recommended for further quality evaluation. In case of uncertainties or unclear information provided in the applications and annexes, the applicants will be invited to submit clarifications/completions within 14 calendar days after receipt of the letter.
